The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official notification regarding the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2020 on its official website.
Candidates willing to appear for CTET July 2020 examination can now register by March 2, while the application fee can be paid up to March 5 till 3:30 pm on the official website of CBSE CTET at ctet.nic.in.
CBSE will be conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on July 5, 2020, at various examination centres spread across the country.

Eligibility Criteria:
For becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage
Senior
Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or
appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by
whatever name known)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with
at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year
Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance
with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior
Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or
appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education
(B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least
50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in
Education (Special Education)*.
OR
“Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)”
“(a)
who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any
NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a
teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher
shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary
Education recognized by the NCTE, within two year of such appointment as
primary teacher”.
For becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation
with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in
Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and
Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior
Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or
appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education
(B.EI.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least
50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed
or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
OR
Any
candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is
eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET
guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is
pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE
or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated
23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
Application Fee:
a) Only for Paper I or II
General/OBC (NCL): Rs 1000/-
SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person: Rs.500/-
b) Both Paper I & II
General/OBC (NCL): Rs 1200/-
SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person: Rs.600/-
Mode of Payment:
•Remittance through E-Challan by depositing the prescribed fee in CTET Exam Fee Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.
– Payment by Syndicate Bank e-Challan
– Payment by Canara Bank e-Challan
•By Online-mode (Payment by Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking).
CTET 2020: How to apply ?
Step 1: Visit the official website of CTET i.e. ctet.nic.in
Step 2: On the official homepage, click on the link which says ‘apply online’
Step 3: A new page will appear on the screen
Step 4: Fill in the online application form and note down the registration number/application number
Step 5: Upload scanned images of the latest photograph and signature
Step 6: Make payment
Step 7: Download and take a print out for further reference.
